How to use YouTube Shorts Downloader

Copy the Short's own link

Use Share on the individual Short or copy its youtube.com/shorts/VIDEO_ID address. Do not use a channel's Shorts tab.

Check the preview

Paste the URL above and select Preview video. Confirm that the preview matches the intended clip.

Save and verify the clip

Choose video or best available quality. Use MP3 only when you need audio without the picture. Open the saved file to check orientation and sound.

Shorts URL formats

Use https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VIDEO_ID. A https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID share link or the same video's watch?v=VIDEO_ID URL can also identify the recording. A channel's Shorts listing contains multiple items and is not a single clip. Changing a URL format does not override access restrictions.

Portrait dimensions and embedded text

A portrait file might be 1080 by 1920 pixels; those dimensions illustrate 9:16 geometry, not a promised download resolution. The available source determines dimensions and quality. Check for rotation, letterboxing and cropping in the player where you plan to use the file.

The tool does not promise removal of watermarks, captions or text already embedded in the picture. Inspect file metadata with the local checker and play the actual clip before deleting any original.

Missing music or an unavailable Short

A Short may be deleted, private, restricted or inaccessible to the server even if it opens for your signed-in account. The tool does not accept your Google credentials. If a saved clip has no sound, first check the source and chosen format; selecting MP3 cannot recreate a missing soundtrack.

Back up your own Shorts

Keep the original editing export, captions and music-license notes together. A platform copy should not be assumed to match your original camera file. If the master is missing, review YouTube's official export instructions and our Shorts backup checklist.

Use only content you own or have permission to save, subject to applicable law and YouTube's Terms. Public visibility or a successful download does not establish permission to extract, redistribute or reuse a recording.

Preview requests are limited to 10 per minute and downloads to 5 per minute. Requests may appear in logs; merging and audio conversion use temporary server files. See our Privacy Policy.

Will this remove every watermark?

No. Text or branding embedded in the source image may remain. No watermark-free result is guaranteed.

Can I save every Short from a channel at once?

No. Paste one individual Short's URL. Channel listings and bulk backup are not supported by this interface.

Will the saved Short appear in my Gallery?

The browser saves a file to its download destination. You may need to open the Downloads folder in Files or import a supported video into your photo library.
