About this tool
Paste a Reddit post permalink and check the preview. Reddit-hosted videos and posts linking to external sites can require different source handling.
How to use Reddit Video Downloader
Copy the individual video link
Use the link pattern below, not a profile or collection address.
Paste and check the preview
Select Preview video and confirm that the preview matches the intended video.
Choose the output
Request video, best available quality or MP3. Check your browser's Downloads list for progress.
Use the post permalink
Copy an address such as https://www.reddit.com/r/COMMUNITY/comments/POST_ID/TITLE/. These labels are placeholders. A subreddit homepage does not identify one video. For an external embed, the original publisher's public video link may be needed.
Why audio may need a separate step
Some sources provide separate video and audio tracks. Best Available Quality can prepare a merged file when both tracks are accessible. A silent animation or an upload without audio remains silent; an MP3 request cannot recover audio absent from the source.
If the post will not download
Confirm that the post is still available and that the media is not a deleted external embed. Private communities and access-restricted posts may fail. On mobile, check browser downloads before looking in your gallery. See YouTube video formats or report the failure.
Permission and service limits
Download only content you own or have permission to save, subject to applicable law and platform terms. Public access does not grant reuse rights. Preview requests are limited to 10 per minute and downloads to 5 per minute. See our Privacy Policy for logs, caches and temporary conversion files.
