Save a TikTok Video with Permission: Native Controls and Original Files

Start with the creator's download control

TikTok's official instructions describe Share → Save video when the creator allows downloads. If that option is absent, do not treat it as an invitation to bypass the creator's setting. Ask for an authorized copy instead.

This older URL contains “without watermark,” but a watermark-free result is not guaranteed here. The absence of a mark does not establish who owns a video, whether it is an original or whether you may reuse its music.

For your own videos, keep the editing export

Save the finished file before publication and keep it separate from app drafts or a later social-platform copy. An editable project, a delivery export and a posted rendition serve different purposes. Preserve the project when you may need to change captions, replace music or adapt the framing.

• Use a project name and version number that identify the final master.
• Keep a note of which music and other assets are included.
• Check the whole file, including the last few seconds, before archiving it.
• Make a separate copy for another destination rather than modifying the only master.

If you have an authorized saved copy

Check the actual file in the device's file manager or photo library. Confirm that it is the intended clip, plays to the end and contains the expected audio. A download confirmation or preview thumbnail alone does not prove the transfer completed.

Music permission is a separate check

A creator's video permission does not necessarily cover a separate audio recording or a new commercial use. TikTok's music guidance is contextual; it should not be read as a general license to redistribute extracted tracks elsewhere.

The TikTok page describes this site's limited request workflow. Do not use it to evade disabled download controls, private access, payment requirements or other platform restrictions. If permission or permitted access is unclear, request the original from its owner.
